Any exceptions must be approved by the project engineer <br /> prior to the project bid. <br /> 2.1. GCL Manufacturer- The GCL manufacturer selected for use on this project shall have <br /> successfully produced at least 10,000,000 square feet of needlepunched GCL product. <br /> 2.2. GCL Installer- The installer shall provide to the engineer sufficient evidence of <br /> installation experience and competence with the specified geosynthetic materials. <br /> 2.2.1. GCL Only Installation - The GCL installer shall demonstrate a minimum of <br /> 1,000,000 square feet of GCL installation experience, shall provide sufficient <br /> evidence of installation experience and competence with other geosynthetics or <br /> shall demonstrate an acceptable level of training and supervision will be <br /> utilized in order to ensure the quality of the installation. <br /> 2.2.2. Multi-Component Composite Liner System - The GCL shall be installed by the <br /> lining contractor responsible for the installation of the overlying FML. The <br /> GCL/FML lining contractor shall demonstrate a minimum of 1,000,000 square <br /> feet of successfully completed multi-component composite liner installation <br /> experience or shall provide sufficient evidence of the appropriate level of <br /> installation experience and competence with other geosynthetics. <br /> 2.3. Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Inspector-The third party project inspector <br /> shall be designated a minimum of 15 business days prior to construction in order to <br /> facilitate the possibility of in plant material pre-qualification. <br /> The specific CQA inspector designated by the CQA contractor shall be responsible for <br /> all aspects of the QA program, including the documentation and monitoring of the <br /> manufacturing and installation processes.
