Other Emergency situation may be added
to this plan if necessary.
Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill (HLSL) is a closed, unlined Class III landfill located at 14750 E
Harney Lane in Lodi, California. The landfill covers approximately 127 acres of which 112 acres
were used for waste. The remaining area is comprised of access roads, storm water retention
ponds, setbacks for environmental monitoring, and firebreaks. Land within 1,000 feet of the
facility is used for grazing and agriculture.
In 1994, HLSL was certified closed in accordance with California Code of Regulations Title 14.
A landfill gas (LFG) collection and control system was installed at the site in 1996 to control LFG
migration and to protect groundwater from impact by landfill gas. Postclosure site use is open
land with grazing by animals that will not threaten the environmental control systems, such as
the landfill gas collection system.
2.0 EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
2.1 FIRES
2.1 A.
