• Cove'Contractors - 2 - 18 July 1995
Also enclosed are two Storm Water Information Messengers. These are storm water program
newsletters that have been developed by our office to help industries better understand the General
Permit requirements.
If you determine that your facility must seek coverage, we request that you submit an NOI within 30
days from receipt of this letter, and forward a copy to our office. You are further requested to develop
and implement a SWPPP and M&RP within 60 days. The SWPPP and M&RP do not need to be
submitted to our office for approval prior to implementation. However, if you determine that your
facility does not need to obtain a storm water permit, you are requested submit a letter to the Regional
Water Quality Control Board within 30 days explaining your findings.
These documents are requested in accordance with provisions of the Federal CWA, and the State of
California Water Code. Failure to comply with our request could result in enforcement action.
If you have any questions regarding the permit, or any requirements, you may contact me at
(916) 255-3027, or Gail Wiggett at (916) 255-3119.
VA OPELAND
enc.
cc: State Water Resources Control Board, Storm Water NOI Processing Unit
Ronald Valinoti, Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division, City of Stockton
Glen Birdzefl, Deputy Municipal Utilities Director, San Joaquin County
