We don't
bring any material that is odorous. Most of the material we use is aged and dry.
We prevent any odorous events by not having them. We transport all of our
material ourselves. We only bring what capacity our facility can hold...no more.
a) Off-site pre-treatment of materials include aging the manure to let odors
dry out.
b) We don't screen any materials until it is time to blend with other material
and begin the composting procedure.
c) We inspect all feedstock prior to shipping to our facility. We do our own
trucking.
d) We use our own product
3) We are not bothering anyone out where our facility is located. If the odor was
objectionable, operations would cease for the time being. Our contact
information is available to our neighbors. If we are causing objectionable odors,
the surrounding property owners would let us know.
4) We regulate the amount of moisture that is added to our compost. This is an
essential part of our operation. The right amount of moisture is necessary to
achieve the correct temperatures in the static piles to begin the composting
process. Without moisture, the static piles would not compost properly. We
generate compost at the same time every year when it is easiest to regulate
moisture and temperature.
