AC T14 CCR 17408.6- Maintenance -Area in front of transfer station building has worn and cracked asphalt and potholes. <br />a.) The EHD has received correspondence stating that permanent asphalt repairs will be made to area in front of transfer station in May <br />2007 and temporary repairs will continue as needed for interim. <br />b.) Monitor area and repair as needed. Document all monitoring and repair work appropriately and have documentation available for <br />inspection. <br />8.) AC T14 CCR 17415.2- Fire Fighting Equipment- Observed two empty and expired fire extinguishers at residential bin wash station. <br />Notes: <br />a.) All Fire Fighting Equipment is to be maintained in working condition. <br />b.) Proper signage must be posted for all Fire Fighting Equipment locations. <br />A. TPR- U -waste screen program is currently in place. <br />a.) Updated information for U -waste screening program was submitted in writing on August 8, 2006. <br />b.) Operator has proposed additional management activities of Universal Wastes on-site and is looking into a third party recycling <br />program. According to operator, more information will be provided in the future. <br />B. Hours of Operation sign at front of scale house reflects operating hours for 7 days a week with no reference to days that the facility <br />might be closed (i.e. Holidays). <br />C. Transfer Station building/public tipping area: Cement barrier/partition for public tipping area remains approximately 30 feet away <br />from building (toward the east). Previous tipping area behind partition remains clear of debris. Asphalt in this area has been repaired. <br />Loader continues to push waste into the transfer station through the front of the building (instead of the north opening). <br />Observed dusts being generated by loader at front of transfer station building. Take adequate measures to control dust. This note will <br />be upgraded to an AC if not corrected by next month's inspection. <br />D. Records are up to date. New computer program was implemented at facility that reflects daily tonnage by cubic yards for non- <br />commercial loads. Conversions were provided for record inspection.
