COMPANY SAFETY RULES <br />In order for a Safety Program to be effective, it is ,vital <br />that rules be established, monitored by responsible individuals, <br />and implemented by all levels of employment. <br />The following are some of the general rules applicable to the <br />operation of DELTA PAPER STOCK CORPORATION that must be enforced. <br />1. PERSONAL PROTECTION AND RELATED EQUIPMENT: <br />a. Personal protective equipment which has been <br />selected to protect employees from the hazards and <br />potential hazards they are likely to encounter <br />relative to their position must be worn as <br />prescribed for each job by the Supervisor. <br />b. Employees must check with their Supervisor regarding <br />any portion(s) of their job that they do not <br />understand. <br />C. Gloves are to be used when handling materials for <br />protection of the skin. Gloves are not to be worn <br />when operating machinery. <br />d. Safety shoes are recommended to help eliminate toe <br />and foot injuries. <br />e. Employees are expected to utilize proper judgement <br />in their personal habits. When they report to work <br />each morning they must be in fit condition to meet <br />daily obligations. <br />2. FIRE PREVENTION: <br />a. Know the location of fire fighting equipment and <br />have a knowledge of its use and application. Use <br />these devices only in cases of fire. <br />b. Turn in all fire extinguishers for recharge after <br />each use. Inspect periodically when not in use. <br />3. HOUSEKEEPING: <br />a. Proper housekeeping is the foundation for a safe <br />work environment. It definitely prevents accidents <br />and fires, as well as creating a business like work <br />area. <br />b. Pile or store material in a stable manner so that it <br />will not be subject to falling. <br />
