Transfer <br />Station, Facility No. 39 -AA -0016 <br />Dear Mr. Bell: <br />In response to your letter, dated August 1, 1989 the following <br />responsesare to "areasof .•noted in the State• •:: <br />Report, dated March 31, 1989. <br />The Facility design as stated in the Report of Station Information <br />dated March 1989 is as follows: <br />Types of waste received at the facility include commercial, <br />residential, construction and demolition debris, and tires. <br />The site consists of a large metal building surrounded by a <br />concrete paved lot situated on a 3/4 acre parcel. Up to 250 <br />tons per day of refuse is received and processed. The <br />material is dumped on the concrete pavement where the cans, <br />metals, plastic, paper, wood, and cardboard is sorted. The <br />plastics, newspaper, and cardboard are pushed to the baler <br />for processing. Cans, metals, rock and rubble and other <br />recyclables are stored on site and shipped to market on a <br />regular basis. Any material which can not be recycled is <br />hauled to the Forward Inc. Landfill for disposal. <br />_station has a current -capacity <br />per day of unsorted refuse.
