The Independent Trucking Company Inc. is a large volume <br /> transfer station: The facility is located at 401 S. Lincoln <br /> Street, Stockton, California. Frank Garavano is the owner, <br /> Gregory Basso is the Vice President,, and Joe Betts is the <br /> operations manager. <br /> B. The station has a permitted area of .98 acre. The facility <br /> includes the non-permitted area which is .83 acre and will be <br /> utilized for storage of equipment, trucks, and recycled <br /> products. See Appendix A. <br /> C. The station has a scale, two offices, and a Recycling <br /> Facilities building. <br /> D. Tvves of Wastes Received: <br /> a. Commercial and Industrial solid wastes. <br /> b. Tires <br /> C. Construction/Demolition wastes. <br /> d. Aluminum <br /> e. Plastic <br /> f. Wood Wastes <br /> g. Paper Products <br /> h. Cardboard <br /> i. Rock & Rubble <br /> j . Metals <br /> k. Other Recyclables <br /> E. The transfer station has a peak daily load of 250 tons. <br /> F. Standard operating procedure is that the waste material is <br /> dumped on the concrete pavement where cans, metals, plastic, <br /> paper, wood, and other recyclables are sorted. The plastics, <br /> newspaper, and cardboard are pushed to the baler for <br /> processing. cans, metals, rock and rubble, and other <br /> recyclables are stored on site and shipped to market on a <br /> regular basis. Any material which can not be recycled is <br /> hauled to a landfill. <br /> G. Used batteries and used oil are not accepted at the site. <br /> H. Independent Trucking Company, Inc. has implemented a hazardous <br /> waste load checking program. All hazardous wastes are <br /> prohibited at the station. Every refuse load is inspected <br /> because every refuse load is separated for recycling purposes. <br /> All employees are trained through the station's safety program <br />
