MANUELLOPEZ
DIRECTOR
June 27, 2001
0
MEMORANDUM
7-1
COUNW OF SAN JOAQUIN
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS
P. O. BOX 1810 - 1810 E. HAZELTON AVENUE
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA 95201
(209)468-3000
FAX (209) 468-2999
TO: Rodney Estrada
Registered Environmental Health Specialist
FROM: Jaime L. Perez
Solid Waste Operations Manager
THOMAS R. FLINN
DEPUTY DIRECTOR
THOMAS M. GAU
DEPUTY DIRECTOR
SUBJECT: TRANSFER OPERATION INSPECTION REPORT DATED JUNE 25, 2001
This is in response to your request noted on the subject report for the Lovelace Materials Recovery
Facility and Transfer Station (LMRF&TS) concerning repairs to the truck wash system.
The reason your agency was not notified of the repairs made is that Crutchfield Construction, the
company that made the repairs, did not notify me prior to the work being performed. On
June 11, 2001, I contacted Harold Crutchfield, the owner of Crutchfield Construction, and inquired
about the date they expected to perform the work. Mr. Crutchfield indicated that he would get back to
me with that information. However, he never did and when I went to the LMRF&TS on June 14, 2001,
I discovered that the work had been completed.
For your information, County staff at the LMRF&TS did witness and confirmed the repairs made by
Crutchfield Construction. Attached, for your records, is a copy of the Purchase Order for the work
completed by Crutchfield Construction.
If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact me at Extension 83066.
Attachment
JLP:vn
R:\Jaime\MEMO\restrada601.wpd
c: Harold Crutchfield, Crutchfield Construction
TA11103
