the current Station operation hours. The County has the option to change hours in
the future to increase the capacities.
b. Average Daily Throughput
■ Average daily throughput projections are shown in Appendix B in the following
Tables:
Table Description
I.D.2.b.Low Estimates tonnages by type of vehicle assuming low projected waste quantities
(using Table I.D.2.b.projections)
I.D.2.b.High Estimates tonnages by type of vehicle assuming high projected waste quantities
(using Table I.D.2.b.projections)
I.D.2.b.Peak Estimates peak daily tonnages in the year 2010 for Non-Automated Disposal,
Automated Disposal and total vehicles. (Both low and high estimates)
These projections are based on the 1990 Waste Quantity Report") by the County,
dated May 1991. (The 1990 report contains most recent long term projections for
Station waste quantities). Excerpts from the 1990 report, which contain waste
projections for the Station, are in Appendix C. The waste projections assumed a
range of values based on the amount of recycling that the County estimated may be
performed in the waste shed area for the Station. "Low"values assume that future
off-site diversion efforts will be emphasized and significant when compared to 1990
conditions. The "high"projected waste quantities are based on an assumption that
off-site recycling programs to divert waste from the Station are limited and similar
to conditions in 1990.
The 1990 report was used to project long term annual throughputs (top of Tables
I.D.2.Lowand High). The actual Station throughput and tonnages by vehicle type
from the 1991 Waste Quantity Report' were then compared to the long term
projections to calculate the percent increase from actual 1991 figures. These percent
increases are then used in Tables I.D.2.Lowand High to project the Station tonnages
by vehicle type.
It should be noted that these tables are based directly on the accounting categories
in the 1991 report', and that the same weighed vehicle figures appear in both the
"weighed vehicles" and "self haul (weighed or measured )" categories shown. These
figures are adjusted appropriately when the average and peak tonnages are calculated
in Table I.D.2.b.peak for Station design. The self haul minimum fee and weighed
or measured quantities are combined in the "Non-Automated" tonnages; and the
weighed vehicle tonnages are reduced by the self haul portion for the "Automated"
07549001.012 10 September 23,1993
