C <br />Report of Station Information <br />San Joaquin County Public Works Department, Solid Waste Division <br />Key Site Personnel — Lovelace <br />(Niame: Desi Reno <br />Ttle: Integrated Waste Manger <br />Experience Summary: �t <br />Desi Reno serves as the Integrated Waste Manager for the San Joaquin County Solid <br />Waste Division. Among his many duties, Mr. Reno prepares and monitors the various <br />division budgets; directs the development and maintenance of cost accounting functions <br />for all funds assigned to the division; develops and manages related information <br />management systems; maintains mandated records and prepares reports, coordinates <br />studies to determine the costs of existing and proposed projects; recommends fees; <br />recommends procedures to reduce expenses and increase revenue. He represents the <br />County's interests in federal, state, regional and local governing boards to describe and <br />defend project applications; maintains liaison among public jurisdictions, private entities, <br />and the public to ensure cooperation on all integrated waste management projects and <br />to resolve potential conflicts; provides staff services as necessary. Additionally, Mr. <br />Reno plans, organizes and directs waste reduction activities; develops and administers <br />mandated programs for public education and services, including waste reduction, <br />household hazardous waste, source reduction, recycling, and composting and also <br />administers the operation of County -owned and/or operated sites, transfer stations and <br />resource recovery stations. Desi Reno is a graduate of California State University — <br />Sacramento with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration (Accountancy) and California° <br />State University Stanislaus with a Master's degree in Public Administration. <br />Name: Jaime Perez <br />Title: Solid Waste Operations Manager <br />Experience Summary: <br />As Solid Waste Operations Manager, Mr. Perez assigns, supervises, and reviews the <br />work of subordinate staff; resolves personnel and staffing issues; recommends courses <br />of action for avoiding or correcting environmental, health safety, or economic problems <br />at County disposal facilities. He also conducts physical and financial planning for future <br />waste management needs, prepares equipment specifications for waste management <br />facilities, coordinates the marketing of recycling materials recovered at County waste <br />management sites, gathers and evaluates data relative to the operations of County <br />disposal sites, assists with the preparation of budgets, and maintains and prepares <br />various records, reports and correspondence. Jaime Perez is a graduate of the <br />University of Pacific and holds a B. A. Degree in Business Administration. Mr. Perez has <br />over 20 years of experience in the waste management industry. <br />
