This project modifies the
transfer station expansion Stockton Scavengers proposed in 1989,for which the City of Stockton
Community Development Department Planning Division prepared an Environmental Impact Report(EIR).
The EIR(EIR 5-88) was certified by the Planning Commission in June 1989.
ESA is working with the City of Stockton Planning Division, the Lead Agency for the revised project, in
preparing a Supplemental Environmental Impact Report(SEIR). We need to know the views of your
agency as to the scope and content of the environmental information that is germane to your agency's
statutory responsibilities in connection with the proposed project. Your agency will need to use the SEIR
prepared by the City when considering your permit or other approval for the project,if applicable. The
project description and a draft initial study indicating the potential environmental effects are enclosed.
We would appreciate your response at the earliest possible date but not later than 30 days after receipt of this
notice.
