(1601 East Hazelton Avenue) Stockton,California 95201 <br /> C4�IFpRaP <br /> August 2, 1989 (209)468-3400 <br /> CO§D <br /> Stockton Scavenger Association <br /> 1240 Navy Drive <br /> Stockton, CA 95206 <br /> RE: 5 YEAR PERMIT REVIEW - Stockton Scavenger Transfer Station, <br /> San Joaquin County #39-AA-0019 . <br /> Dear Sir: <br /> The Stockton Scavenger Transfer Station Solid Waste Facility <br /> located at 1240 Navy Drive, Stockton has been reviewed by the <br /> Department of Environmental Health Services (LEA) in accordance <br /> with the California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Chapter 5, <br /> Article 3, Section 18213 . <br /> The Department has reviewed and evaluated the following <br /> documents: <br /> 1 . Report of Station Information dated June 1988 and revised <br /> July 1988 . <br /> 2. Plan of Operation dated October, 1977 . <br /> 3. Solid waste facilities permit #39-AA-0019 dated October 4, <br /> 1978 . <br /> 4. Stockton Scavenger Transfer Station Expansion, Draft <br /> Environmental Impact Report (EIR 5-88) , dated March 1989 . <br /> 5. Land Use Permit, City of Stockton #56-88 , dated June 20 , <br /> 1989, Expansion of existing small volume solid waste <br /> transfer station/resource recovery to a large volume <br /> transfer station handling commercial and industrial wastes <br /> only. <br /> Upon review of the above documents and an on-site inspection of <br /> the facility on June 2, 1989 ; it is the determination of the LEA <br /> that there is a sianificant chance in the design and operation of <br /> the solid waste facility. <br /> It is further determined that the significant chances of the <br /> existing permit will require a permit revision. <br /> The CEQA review and EIR 5-88, dated May 1989, have been completed <br /> and will be conditioned in the New Draft Facility Permit. <br /> A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services <br />
