Box 388 • Stockton, CA 95201-0388
209/468-3420
December 15, 1995
Hubert Bourque c / o
USA Waste Services Inc.
5000 Quorum Dr., Suite 300
Dallas, TX 75240
Re: Five year permit review, Stockton Scavengers Transfer
Station Permit #39 -AA -0019
PpUIN
The application and Report of Station Information (RSI) that was
submitted to San Joaquin County Environmental Health has been
reviewed. Please address the following areas of concern:
1. Interstate 5 should be included as a primary route to the
station, as it appears on the vicinity map.
2. Table 1, reads "Properties Within 100 Feet", change to 1000
feet.
3. Figure 3a Site Layout, needs to show all structures as
defined in CIWMB Permit Desk Manual (ex: buildings,
easements, water wells, sewage disposal systems, leach
lines, and power or telephone lines).
4. The application states 1000 tons for Peak Daily Loading
(TPD). Design capacity and peak daily tonnage do not match
current permitted capacities. If these are to be changed
from current values CEQA must be done and possibly an EIR.
5. Permits and approvals, the conditions must be summarized for
all permits, (copies of permits and conditions can be
attached).
6. Access to the station from public streets shall be
identified on all figures.
7. A utilities plan shall be submitted, showing the location of
all utilities serving the site.
8. Identification signs are required at the facility (Section
17481 of Title 14; California Code of Regulations).
9. Give an accurate count of the number of employees (ex:
number of employees on current payroll).
A Division of San Joaquin Countv Health Care Services
