Materials Receiving
(1) Materials check in andmm"i hin
-
All incoming loads will be screened at the Gatehouse. Two 70-foot scales will be located
adjacent to the Gatehouse and each vehicle will be weighed and/or inspected to determine the
gross weight or volume and can be reweighed upon exiting the site, if required, to determine
the tare weight. Tare weight will be kept on record for most commercial vehicles so that exit
weighing will typically not be required for these vehicles. Incoming vehicles will be directed
to the following areas based on their contents:
• Collection vehicles (residential and commercial packer truck loads) will be directed to
the south end of the east side of the MRF/Transfer Building for unloading on the tipping
floor.
• Curbside collection trucks and some selected commercial loads will be directed to the
northwest end of the MRF/Transfer Building for unloading on the tipping floor where
material will be sorted and processed.
0 Yard waste collection trucks and self-haul loads consisting only of yard and wood waste
will be directed to the Wood and Yard Waste Composting area.
LIPROJECT/3971URF/RSI-I.TCY
Revision 1.0 32 December 15, 1993
