Facility has added
insect traps and rodent bait stations around the interior and exterior of the facility. There were no rodent traps on
site.
1. The operator shall take adequate steps to control or prevent the propagation, harborage, and attraction of
flies, rodents, or other vectors.
2. Implement rodent traps around the facility.
x 17408.6- Maintenance Program
Comments:There is no designated water source for emergency use (i.e. eye wash station).
1. All apsects of the operation shall be maintained in a state of good repair which includes having an
adequate water supply for emergency use.
2. Obtain a water source that is designated for emergency use only.
P. Facilityis in the process of obtaining eye wash bottles.
X 17414(a)-Weight and Volume Record
Comments: Records of weights and volumes for the month of December 2012 were available for review.
According to the records, from December 1-6,the facility received over 15 tons of solid waste per operating day
(exceeded the limits of the'limited volume transfer operation"notification tier).
1. "Limited Volume Transfer Operation" means an operation that receives less than 60 cubic yards, or 15
tons of solid waste per operating day for the purpose of storing the waste prior to transferring the waste
to another solid waste operation or facility.
2. The facility is in the process of determing if some of the streams of waste fall under the category of
"recycling center." Streams of waste that meet the requirements for classification under a recycling
center category will not be counted toward the volume of waste under the limited volume transfer
operation category. However, if the volume of waste under the limited volume transfer operation
category still exceeds 15 tons per operating day, then the facility will be required to be re-classified as
a "medium volume transfer/processing facility" and be subject to all of the requirements under that
category.
