6 0 <br /> Non-Salvageable Items: Non-salvageable items as defined in Section 17408.4 are not generated, <br /> received, or kept on site. <br /> Nuisance Control: The main sources of public nuisance for this site could be pests or trash. <br /> Trash is picked up daily and a professional pest control service has been <br /> contracted to provide bird and rodent control. <br /> Maintenance Program: The only equipment related to waste transfer activities is a wheel loader. It is <br /> maintained regularly and the site facility is maintained daily. <br /> Personnel Health and Safety: Site employees are included in the company injury and illness prevention <br /> program with Selma employees and are included in monthly safety meetings. <br /> Protection of Users: The site facility is located within a pre-existing industrial park and is not open <br /> to the public.Therefore,the public will not come into contact with the expired <br /> bakery products. <br /> Roads: Site roads are mostly paved and are maintained by the property owner. <br /> Sanitary Facilities: Sanitary facilities are provided in conjunction with the property owner. <br /> Scavenging and Salvaging: Scavenging is prohibited. The only salvaging done on site is the recovery of <br /> loose plastic, paper, and cardboard incidental to the handling of the expired <br /> bakery products.These materials are placed in a dumpster and hauled off by <br /> the City of Tracy. <br /> Signs: The site building is posted with clear and legible signage. <br /> Load Checking: Each load of expired bakery products received is inspected for prohibited <br /> waste and is documented accordingly. Employees are trained in the <br /> inspection procedure and how to identify prohibited wastes. <br /> Parking: Site traffic is very limited.Adequate parking is provided inside the building for <br /> load transfers and employee parking is provided around the exterior of the <br /> building. <br /> Solid Waste Removal: Expired bakery products are typically removed from the site within one to two <br /> days of receipt but not longer than one week from receipt. <br /> Supervision and Personnel: The manager for the site is Michael Fires—cell phone(559)707-3551.The <br /> on-site supervisor is Andy Shubin—cell phone(760) 965-6026. Regulatory <br /> compliance is overseen by Kevin Clutter 559 917-5107. <br /> Training: Employees receive monthly safety meetings which for Tracy includes load <br /> checking requirements and material handling requirements at least annually. <br /> Vector, Bird and Animal Control: An outside pest control company provides rodent and bird control and <br /> ongoing maintenance and record keeping. <br /> Record Keeping: Each load of expired bakery products received and shipped is weighed and <br /> scale tickets are maintained on file. Records are kept for dumpster loads <br /> taken by the City. Records are kept on file on site and at the Selma office <br /> and are available for inspection upon request.A daily logbook is maintained <br /> for special occurrences such as emergencies or public complaints including <br /> methods used to resolve a problem. <br /> Documentation of Enforcement Records are kept in the Selma and Coachella offices. Required postings are <br /> Agency Approvals, Determinations, posted at the site. <br /> and Requirements <br /> Communications Equipment: Every employee is equipped with a cell phone. <br /> Fire Fighting Equipment: The site maintains fire extinguishers and is permitted with the local fire <br /> department for specific activities. <br /> Housekeeping: On-site personnel is responsible to inspect the site each day and maintain <br /> trash, equipment, and general facility condition. <br /> Lighting: The site is an enclosed warehouse with adequate lighting. <br /> Equipment: The only site equipment for waste handling purposes is a wheel loader. <br /> Site Security: The site facility is located within a fenced industrial park staffed by a full time <br /> attendant. <br /> Site Attendant: Facility is not open to the public.A site attendant is normally present during <br /> operating hours and always when loads are received or shipped. <br />
