Remove all waste tires and provide documentation of approved disposal by June 24,2006. 6. A non-functioning manure cart located on the loading dock behind House#3 contained a large amount of water and some manure build up.Properly clean the cart and remove all standing water by May 31,2006. 7. On the north side of Houses#1 —#6 there was an accumulation of water.This appeared to be from a broken water line.Repair the water line and drain the standing water by May 31,2006. 8. Houses#7—#14 use water to flush the manure out of the poultry houses to the manure holding ponds.The area south of House#14 had a large accumulation of feathers that was removed from the flush water,which was a source of fly breeding.Properly remove the feather waste to eliminate the fly breeding by May 31,2006. 9. The rodent bait stations for the facility did not have bait in them. Some of the bait stations were not in good repair.Properly repair and stock all bait stations by May 31,2006. Develop a maintenance schedule for monitoring the bait stations as part the vector control portion of the manure management plan. 10. The facility has four holding ponds onsite.Two of the ponds are primarily used for storage of liquid manure and the other two serve as overflow storage for the primary manure ponds.The ponds have feather and manure solids that have built up above the liquid level of the ponds. Remove and/or agitate the solids until they are completely covered with liquid by May 31,2006,and implement a maintenance plan to prevent future solids build-up in the ponds. Reference the pond maintenance plan and schedule in the manure management plan. 11. The facility has thick vegetation around the manure ponds and poultry houses. Spray, mow and disc the weeds to reduce potential fire hazards and vector harborage by June 7, 2006. 12. The facility roads are rough. There are several large potholes that hold standing water,a potential source for mosquito breeding. Grade all roads inside the facility and maintain surface runoff by June 24,2006. 13. Two abandoned vehicles and a refrigerator that were illegally dumped on the facility will be addressed under separate cover by the Community Development Department. Structural: 1. House#1 has a small section of roofing missing on the southwest end of the house. House#1 is not currently in use. Properly repair the roof by June 24,2006. 2. House#9 is deteriorated.The roof has collapsed and the structure is nearly destroyed.
