Remove <br /> all waste tires and provide documentation of approved disposal by June 24,2006. <br /> 6. A non-functioning manure cart located on the loading dock behind House#3 contained a <br /> large amount of water and some manure build up.Properly clean the cart and remove all <br /> standing water by May 31,2006. <br /> 7. On the north side of Houses#1 —#6 there was an accumulation of water.This appeared <br /> to be from a broken water line.Repair the water line and drain the standing water by May <br /> 31,2006. <br /> 8. Houses#7—#14 use water to flush the manure out of the poultry houses to the manure <br /> holding ponds.The area south of House#14 had a large accumulation of feathers that <br /> was removed from the flush water,which was a source of fly breeding.Properly remove <br /> the feather waste to eliminate the fly breeding by May 31,2006. <br /> 9. The rodent bait stations for the facility did not have bait in them. Some of the bait stations <br /> were not in good repair.Properly repair and stock all bait stations by May 31,2006. <br /> Develop a maintenance schedule for monitoring the bait stations as part the vector control <br /> portion of the manure management plan. <br /> 10. The facility has four holding ponds onsite.Two of the ponds are primarily used for <br /> storage of liquid manure and the other two serve as overflow storage for the primary <br /> manure ponds.The ponds have feather and manure solids that have built up above the <br /> liquid level of the ponds. Remove and/or agitate the solids until they are completely <br /> covered with liquid by May 31,2006,and implement a maintenance plan to prevent <br /> future solids build-up in the ponds. Reference the pond maintenance plan and schedule <br /> in the manure management plan. <br /> 11. The facility has thick vegetation around the manure ponds and poultry houses. Spray, <br /> mow and disc the weeds to reduce potential fire hazards and vector harborage by June 7, <br /> 2006. <br /> 12. The facility roads are rough. There are several large potholes that hold standing water,a <br /> potential source for mosquito breeding. Grade all roads inside the facility and maintain <br /> surface runoff by June 24,2006. <br /> 13. Two abandoned vehicles and a refrigerator that were illegally dumped on the facility will <br /> be addressed under separate cover by the Community Development Department. <br /> Structural: <br /> 1. House#1 has a small section of roofing missing on the southwest end of the house. <br /> House#1 is not currently in use. Properly repair the roof by June 24,2006. <br /> 2. House#9 is deteriorated.The roof has collapsed and the structure is nearly destroyed. <br />
