Box 478 <br />Modesto, CA. 95353 U <br />RE: 18401 Atkins Rd., Lockeford CA. <br />Ari Tfi_CH"._"Eii_T I <br />On August 24, 1992, as a result of complaints concerning fly <br />breeding at the above referenced poultry operation, an inspection <br />was conducted by representatives of San Joaquin County Public <br />Health Services, Environmental Health Division (EHD). <br />The inspection revealed that fly breeding existed in the poultry <br />houses as well as at the manure disposal area. This breeding is in <br />violation of San Joaquin County ordinance Code (SJCOC) , sections 8- <br />5100, and 5-2400. Section 8-5003 designates vectors as a public <br />nuisance. Section 8-5100 makes it a violation to maintain a <br />nuisance. Section 5-2400 and the Rules and Regulations under this <br />Section outline the parameters for removal and disposal of waste <br />matter. <br />In that your existing method of waste management exhibited fly <br />breeding, you are ordered to comply with the following: <br />(sjcOC Section 5-2400 and Rules and Regulations) <br />1. Provide immediate control for the adult fly population. <br />2. Completely clean poultry houses at least once every seven <br />(7) days, including support posts and gutters, to <br />eliminate the accumulation of poultry manure. in an <br />3. Remove all manure from the premise, for disposal <br />approved manner, at least once every seven (7) -days or <br />utilize one of the approved methods outlined in the Rules <br />and Regulations authorized under SJCOC, Section 5-2400. <br />A copy of the Rules and Regulations have been enclosed - <br />for your information. <br />A reinspection will be conducted in seven (7) days to determine <br />compliance with the above order.
