The City of
Manteca has chosen to be a participant in that study. The
purpose of the study is to gather sufficient information on air
pollution sources to enable policymakers to formulate and
implement effective strategies to improve air quality. Growth
provided for in this project is not consistent with the currently
approved Air Quality Plan.
Other: The proposed project is consistent with the General Plan
for the City of Manteca.
PROJECT ALTERNATIVES
Five alternatives, in addition to "no project," were considered
during facilities planning in 1981. The present project is an
expansion of the Phase I project.
PRIMARY IMPACTS AND MITIGATION MEASURES
Construction impacts which will be mitigated by measures in the
construction specifications include dust, noise, air pollution,
water pollution, public safety hazards, and traffic disruption.
The present monthly user cost for a typical single family
dwelling is approximately $9.00 per month with a one-time
connection fee of $2 ,222.
