- Hard hats
Safety glasses
Tyvek suit
Hearing protection
Specialized equipment as necessary depending on the area they are
working in
• Portable eyewash located in the locker area of the maintenance area
• Decontamination shower located in the maintenance area with a 250-gallon
capacity
• Four Honda pumps
Depending on their job function, personnel at the RRF are required to wear steel toed and
soled safety boots, gloves, safety vests, hard hats, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
H. Power Failure -
Include provisions for handling power failures.
There are no provisions for emergency power since no threatening situations would occur
because of a power failure. The baling and crushing equipment would not be operable. If
the power were down for a long period of time, the waste would either be routed directly
to the landfill or the backup generators would be used to avoid a backup of waste at the
RRF.
All of the Compost Facility's processing equipment will be diesel powered, and thus not
subject to power failure. Backup generators will be maintained on site to provide power to
the RRF office trailer and the administration office during power outages.
sea10029B67.wp5
ses10029B67.wp5/83
9/29/94 83
