Corporation's drop boxes are usually 20 cy and 40 cy. The size and quantity of drop boxes
may vary.
Water. Water for site operations is supplied by two on site production wells (one at the
landfill entrance facilities and the other at the RRF entrance facilities). There will be an
approximate 8,000-gallon water tank located in the South area. On site water uses include
site construction and waste disposal operations, RRF operations, dust control, equipment
maintenance operations, sanitary facilities, fire fighting, and emergency situations. Bottled
water is provided for drinking.
Sanitary Facilities. There are no onsite sewage disposal system or leach lines. The sanitary
facilities consist of a total of seven portable toilets at the site. Two portable toilets are
located adjacent to the landfill office trailer, two are located at the RRF, one is in the
maintenance yard at the landfill, one is located near the eastern ash disposal pit, and one is
located on the bin storage pad at the landfill. The two portable toilets adjacent to the landfill
office are handicap-accessible. The locations will change with site development.
Electricity. Pacific Gas and Electric Company(PG&E) provides primary electric service to the
site. Electric power is provided to the office trailers (except the employee trailer at
the RRF) and onsite pumping facilities.
Communications. SBC provides telephone service to the site. Company offices and
some vehicles used for site operations are equipped with phones.
IV Right-of-Way. The eastern property line is also the Austin Road centerline; the Austin
Road right-of-way, owned by the County of San Joaquin, is approximately 60 feet wide.
Easement. The South Fork easement is shown in Figure 2.
Water Wells. There are two water wells at the site. A 1,000-gpm well at the landfill
entrance facilities and a 20-gpm well at the RRF entrance facilities.
Offsite. Structures within 1,000 feet of the site boundaries are shown in Figure 3. Two
residences are located approximately 1,800 and 2,200 feet from the northeastern
corner of the site. A third residence is approximately 900 feet east of the site along the
southern bank of the South Fork.
Scales/Scale house. One scale is located in the southeast portion of the site to service
the resource recovery/transfer and composting operations. Incoming loads are
monitored at the scale house and all vehicular activities are regulated in accordance
with the established hazardous waste Exclusion Program/Load Checking Program. In
the event that additional capability is needed, the scales at the Forward Landfill can be
utilized. The scale house for the landfill has four scales and is located in the central
portion of the site.
As shown in Figure 3, the current land use for the area surrounding the site is primarily
agricultural. The City of Stockton operates a 150-acre municipal solid waste landfill
approximately 1,000 feet north of the Forward site.
