2 General Requirements <br /> 2.1 Meetings <br /> In order to facilitate construction, and to clearly define construction goals and activities, close <br /> coordination between the Owner,Design Engineers,QA/QC Consultant,and Contractor is essential. <br /> To meet this objective,pre-construction and progress meetings will be held. <br /> 2.1.1 Pre-Construction Meeting <br /> Following bid award, a pre-construction meeting will be held at the site. The purpose of this <br /> meeting, attended by the Owner, Contractor, Design Engineer, QA/QC Consultant, and others <br /> designated by the Owner,will be to: <br /> Review the construction drawings, specifications,CQA Manual,work area security,health <br /> and safety procedures, and related issues. <br /> Provide all parties with relevant project documents. <br /> Amok Review responsibilities and qualifications of each party. <br /> Define lines of communication and authority. <br /> Establish reporting and documenting procedures. <br /> Review procedures for handling submittals. <br /> Review testing equipment and procedures. <br /> Review procedures for field directives and change orders. <br /> Establish testing protocols and procedures for correcting and documenting construction or <br /> non-conformance. <br /> • Establish weekly meeting schedule. <br /> • Conduct a site inspection to discuss work areas, stockpile areas,lay down areas,access <br /> roads, haul roads, and related items. <br /> • Review the project schedule and critical path items. <br /> • • Contractor's work plan. <br /> Page 3 <br />
