Hall <br /> Musco Olive Products, Inc. <br /> 17950 Via Nicolo <br /> Tracy,CA 95376 <br /> PROPOSED REVISED WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS, MUSCO OLIVE <br /> WASTEWATER DISCHARGE PROJECT, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> We have received comments from the Department of Fish and Game(DFG)concerning the <br /> Tentative Waste Discharge Requirements(WDRs)for the Musco Olive Products,Inc.,proposal to <br /> expand the area where production wastewater will be spray irrigated. Because of the nature of the <br /> comments,the Board has canceled the public hearing for the WDRs and Initial Study/Negative <br /> Declaration(CEQA)project which was noticed for 21 June 1996. DFG has informed me that I <br /> should anticipate receiving comments on the Initial Study/Negative Declaration from the U.S. Fish <br /> and Wildlife Service regarding similar issues. <br /> Significant resources of the project include habitat for the Federal and State-listed sensitive species. <br /> The attached letter from the Department of Fish and Game,dated 7 May 1996, specifies the <br /> sensitive species and the type of reports required to satisfy statutes and the Federal Endangered <br /> Species Act. <br /> Please copy your response to DFG's requests to the Board so we may be aware of the timing <br /> involved. We will revise the Initial Study/Negative Declaration and WDRs as soon as DFG and <br /> other commenters have been satisfied. <br /> If you have any questions please call me at(916)255-3127. <br /> A.
