The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for LES SCHWAB TIRES #673 as of November 04, 2020. <br /> Open violations from July 01, 2020 inspection <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#403-Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing <br /> hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> 1. Two metal drums storing non-RCRA hazardous waste glycol ether(brake fluid). <br /> 2. One metal drum storing non-RCRA hazardous waste oily absorbent and rags. <br /> 3. One metal drum storing waste aerosol cans and a container of brake fluid. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑This violation will be corrected by(date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation#605-Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br /> were: <br /> 1. Two metal drums storing non-RCRA hazardous waste glycol ether(brake fluid),which were missing the <br /> accumulation start date. <br /> 2. One metal drum storing non-RCRA hazardous waste oily absorbent and rags,which was missing the <br /> accumulation start date. <br /> 3. One metal drum storing waste aerosol cans and a container of brake fluid,which was missing the accumulation <br /> start date and was not accurately labeled for the storage of the brake fluid. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste. Provide a corrective <br /> action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD)within 30 days. <br /> Page 6 of 9 <br />
