All of the others are constituents of the
waste water and are therefore mixed in varying quantities within the waste water. This waste
water is what is captured in the waste water capture tanks T1 and T2.
Piping and Ancillary Equipment:
All of the observed piping and check valves were schedule 80 PVC (manufactured by either
Spears or Hayward depending). Most of the diameters observed were 2-inch O.D. The above-
mentioned pumps are 2 horsepower and can act in tandem or individually, if necessary. The
pumps also have secondary containment buckets below them should minor leakage occur.
Tank and Secondary Chamber Construction:
The waste water capture tanks (T1 and T2) are made of polypropylene and are detailed below
in their exact construction. T1 varies from T2 in design by being slightly taller and narrower.
They are both of the same design and hold the same volume of 330 gallons when completely
full. For this assessment they are assumed to be the same with a flange line, operational 90
percent holding capacity of 300 gallons.
The material thickness for the tanks were taken from engineered drawings that the manufacturer
previously sent to Terracon. They were also verified in the field in 2011 during the last
inspection and assessment. The tanks are 0.332 inches in thickness. Field measurements were
taken using calipers that measured to one/thousandth of an inch.
Responsive ■ Resourceful ■ Reliable
