' Additional Site Assessment and Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Work Plan <br /> ERNIE'S GENERAL STORE <br /> 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> On behalf of Mr.Ernest P.Giannecchini of Ernie's General Store,Advanced GeoEnvironmental has <br /> ' prepared this Additional Site Assessment and Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Test Work Plan for the <br /> property located at 4407 East Waterloo Road,Stockton,California(site).The scope of work includes <br /> advancement of one soil boring,installation of one additional ground water monitoring well and five <br /> soil vapor extraction(SVE)wells, and performance of SVE pilot tests. The location of the site and <br /> the surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1; a plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2. Site <br /> ' background information and assessment activities to date are summarized in Appendix A. <br /> This work plan was prepared at the request of a San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (EHD) directive, dated 10 April 2006 (Appendix B), to prepare a work plan for soil <br /> vapor remediation feasibility at the site and to further delineate the lateral extent of petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon contamination to soil and ground water in the areas north and east of the former and <br /> existing underground storage tank(UST)location.The plan was prepared in accordance with Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for the investigation ofUST <br /> sites. <br /> 2.0. SCOPE OF WORK <br /> ' Based on soil and ground water data collected during the investigation of petroleum-hydrocarbon <br /> impact at the site,AGE proposes to advance one soil boring and install one additional ground water <br /> monitoring well and five 2-inch diameter SVE wells. Following installation of the SVE wells,two <br /> separate 8-hour pilot tests will be performed. <br /> The scope of work will consist of the following tasks: <br /> ' • Permitting,planning, and pre-field work activities; <br /> • Drilling, soil sampling and well installation; <br /> ' • Performance of two 8-hour SVE pilot tests; and <br /> Preparation of a report of findings. <br /> 1 <br /> 2.1. PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be submitted to the EHD. As required by EHD permitting, <br /> a health and safety plan will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Advanced GeoEnviro=ental,Inc. <br /> 1 <br />
