20 June 2006
AGE-NC Project No. 01-0839
' sampling events);monitoring activities will include recording depth to ground water measurements
and collection of ground water samples for laboratory analysis by a DHS-certified laboratory for the
analytes noted in Section 2.2.. Ground water monitoring and sampling procedures were detailed in
the AGE-prepared Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan, dated 18 December 2001.
' 2.6. SVE PILOT TEST AND RESULTS
Two separate 8-hour SVE pilot tests will be conducted on differing well depths at the site. The SVE
' pilot tests will be performed to provide vapor extraction data for feasibility analysis for the proper
design of the remediation system. The SVE pilot test specifications are presented in Section 3.5..
2.7. PREPARATION OF REPORT OF FINDINGS
' Following soil boring advancement, monitoring and SVE well installation, and the performance of
the SVE pilot tests,a report will be prepared presenting the findings of the investigation. The report
will include a description of the work performed and the results of soil sampling and analysis and
the SVE pilot test. Conclusions and recommendations will also be included,if applicable. The report
will be in a format acceptable to the EHD and the CVRWQCB,and will be reviewed and signed by
a California Professional Geologist.
3.0. FIELD PROCEDURES
All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California
' Professional Geologist. Procedures for soil boring advancement, monitoring and SVE well
installation, and SVE pilot testing procedures are described below.
' 3.1. SOIL PROBE BORING PROCEDURES
The proposed soil probe boring will be advanced utilizing a CME-75HT truck-mounted, hollow-
stem drill rig equipped with 8.25-inch diameter hollow-stem augers.
3.1.1. Soil Sample Collection and Analysis
' Relatively undisturbed soil samples will be collected from the soil boring at 5-foot intervals using
a California modified split-spoon sampler fitted with 2-inch diameter, 6-inch long brass sleeves.
' Upon removal from the sampler, the sample sleeves will be separated with a knife. The exposed ends
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
