INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr Ernest P Giannecchini of Ernle's General Store, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this preliminary Investigation and evaluation report <br /> (PIER) for 4407 East Waterloo Road (the site), Stockton, California The scope of work Included <br />' advancement of five soil borings and the collection and analysis of soil and ground water samples <br /> The location of the site and Its surroundings are Illustrated on Figure 1 Major features on the site <br /> Iand soil boring locations are Illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> This Investigation was performed in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground storage <br /> tank (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> • The site is located at 4407 East Waterloo Road, Stockton, California, in a topographically flat area <br /> at an elevation between 30 and 35 feet above mean sea level The site is in the southeast quarter of <br /> Section 30, Township 2 North, Range 7 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Stockton East <br /> IQuadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS Topographic Series, 1968, photo revised 1987) <br /> I21 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The property is currently occupied by a one-story grocery market and a gasoline fueling facility Five <br /> fuel dispensers are located south of the market, four fuel dispensers are located cast of the market <br /> and two fuel USTs are located southeast of the market Presently the facility operates one split <br /> 15,000-gallon UST containing 10,000 gallons of diesel fuel and 5,000 gallons of premium unleaded <br /> fuel and one 15,000-gallon UST containing regular unleaded fuel <br /> 2 2 UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> On 05 January 1999, one 12,000-gallon fuel UST and two 10,000-gallon fuel USTs, were removed <br /> from the site by Henderson Construction of Stockton, California A representative of Touchstone <br /> Developments was present on-site to observe field activities and to collect soil samples The <br />' approximate locations of the former USTs are shown on Figure 2 <br /> Soil samples were collected beneath the former USTs at depths of 14 to 16 feet below surface grade <br /> I (bsg), beneath the product dispensers at 3 feet bsg, beneath the product piping at depths of 3 5 to 4 <br /> Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc <br />
