3 6 DECONTAMINATION AND SANITATION <br /> All disposable PPE equipment(e g gloves)will be properly disposed of after each use Wash hands with soap and <br /> water All clothing shall be brushed off and cleaned after each daily use Each Field Team Member shall understand <br /> and follow the decontamination procedures under the direction of the Field Team Leader The Field Team Leader, <br /> or by designation the SHSO,shall either visually or by chemical indication,monitor the decontamination procedures <br /> to determine their effectiveness When such procedures are found to be ineffective,appropriate steps shall be taken <br /> to correct any deficiencies <br /> Decontamination shall be performed in a location that will minimize the exposure of uncontaminated Field Team <br /> Members or equipment to contaminated Field Team Members or equipment <br /> 3 7 EMERGENCY RESPONSE <br /> Emergency contacts for the drilling,soil sampling,and well installation program at the Texaco facility are listed as <br /> follows <br /> • U-Haul International Personnel (602)263-6647 <br /> • City of Stockton Fire Department 911 <br /> • St Joseph's Oak Park Hospital (209)943-2000 <br /> Ambulance Service 911 <br /> • • USEPA Environmental Response Team (201)321-6660 <br /> The nearest hospital address and route are as follows <br /> • Name St Joseph's Hospital (209/943-2000) <br /> • Address California Street,Stockton, CA <br /> • Route to Hospital North of Sangumetti, West on Alpine Dr , South on California St Hospital on East side <br /> of street <br /> 3 8 MATERIAL HANDLING <br /> Soil samples collected from the site present a potential hazard to Field Team Members during sample handling All <br /> soil samples shall be handled in a manner to minimize potential exposure,including the use of the appropriate <br /> personal protective equipment specified in Section 3 5 All soil will be placed on plastic or in approved containers <br /> and covered following operations <br /> 3 9 GENERAL SAFE WORK PRACTICES <br /> Field activities performed on-site shall be performed in accordance with the generally accepted safe work practices <br /> which are provided in Attachment 2 <br />
