Wilson Way
Stockton,CA 95205
San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division(PHS/EHD)has reviewed the
Site Contamination Work Plan dated February 19, 1999 prepared by Upgradient Environmental
Consultants. The Work Plan is incomplete and further information is required.
The following components should be included in the Work Plan addendum:
1) A well survey of domestic, municipal, agricultural, industrial and any other wells within a 2,000 foot
radius of the site. Contact the Department of Water Resources, municipal water suppliers and nearby
industries for well information. Perform a physical search of the area to identify any wells. Show the
locations of all wells, submit any known construction details of the wells. Identify all sources of
information in the well survey report and clearly depict each well location as they relate to the above
referenced site. Discuss conclusions regarding public and environmental health risks as they relate to
the pumping influence of these identified wells and the migration and potential impact of the
contaminant plume.
2) Drain holes have been identified at the site. Provide information on the drain/sump areas and describe
the systems construction and discharge location. Show cross sections and aerial view of drain system
as it relates to the previous Underground Storage Tank(UST) location.
3) San Joaquin County Flood Control maps for 1978 show that ground water was 90 feet below surface
grade in the area at that time. The current ground water level is at approximately 55 feet below surface
grade. Submit a statement that the investigation will continue vertically as deep as necessary to
confirm two consecutive five foot interval non detect samples.
4) Monitoring Wells(MWs)should be placed closer to the old UST location, within 20 feet. Submit a
modified map showing MW locations in proximity to the old UST area.
Submit a Work Plan addendum to PHS/EHD by April 19. 1999.
