(04 ADVANCED BIOFUELS <br /> COMMUNITY <br /> F U E L S " <br /> Laboratory Technician for Stockton Biodiesel Plant <br /> Summary of Responsibilities : <br /> Responsibilities include the following : <br /> • Collection and analysis of biodiesel product, quality control samples , and raw materials used in the biodiesel <br /> production process . This will include performing various biodiesel analyses that use biodiesel specific <br /> instrumentation , gas chromatography , and basic wet chemistry techniques ( pipetting , use of precision balances , <br /> derivitization , etc. ) . <br /> • Responsible for providing testing results of in- process production samples to Laboratory and Production <br /> personnel in a timely manner. <br /> • Maintenance of laboratory including equipment upkeep , maintaining laboratory cleanliness , and record keeping . <br /> • Generate internal quality test reports , and ensure all data that is reported is analyzed within quality control <br /> requirements . <br /> • Receive and track laboratory inventory . <br /> • Perform R & D testing requested by Laboratory or Production management in support of process changes or <br /> improvements . <br /> • Ability to follow strict safety and quality protocols and procedures . <br /> • Willingness and ability to assume a wide range of responsibilities depending upon business needs . <br /> • Handle multiple priorities and successfully direct work flow to meet production schedules . <br /> • Must have excellent communication and teamwork skills . <br /> Minimum Qualifications : <br /> Any one of the following will qualify, although all applicants with some chemistry experience will be considered : <br /> 1 . BS in Chemistry or related subject <br /> 2 . Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel <br /> 3 . Ability to calculate concentrations and prepare chemical standards <br /> Special Consideration ( not required ) : <br /> Special consideration will be given to candidates with the following skills and experience : <br /> a . Experience writing and adhering to strict Standard Operating Procedures ( SOPS) <br /> b . Willingness to work in a production style environment <br /> c . Willingness to work any shift <br /> d .
