21 May 2003 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0130 <br /> Page 9of16 <br /> optimal removal ofdissolved petroleum hydrocarbons Following the pump-and-treat start-up period, <br /> grab influent and effluent water samples will be collected on a monthly basis and the operational <br /> parameters will be monitored on a weekly basis to monitor cleanup progress <br /> I <br /> 3 7 MONITORING AND MAINTENANCE <br /> Following the initial `start-up'periods,influent and effluent air-flow vapor samples and pump-and- <br /> treat water samples will be collected on a monthly basis and submitted to a State of California <br /> Department of Health Services(DHS)-certified laboratory for analysis of the following constituents <br /> • TPH-g in accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified, <br /> • BTEX and MTBE in accordance with EPA Method 8020, <br /> • 1,2-DCA,EDB,MTBE, DIPE,TAME, ETBE and TBA by EPA Method 8260(Pump-and- <br /> Treat samples only) <br /> Laboratory reports for water and/or vapor analysis, testing methods, laboratory quality <br />' assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be <br /> presented in quarterly reports <br />' Both the SVE and the ground water pump-and-treat systems will be maintained on a weekly basis <br /> according to manufacturers recommendations (i a lubrication, oil changing, system adjustments, <br />' etc ) <br />' 38 REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Quarterly reports will be prepared presenting the findings from ground water interim pump and treat <br />' and the SVE interim activities The quarterly reports will include a description of work performed <br /> and the results of the influent and effluent air-flow vapor samples and water analysis Conclusions <br /> and recommendations will also be included in the reports, if applicable The report will be in a <br />' format acceptable to RWQCB guidelines,and will be reviewed and signed by a California Registered <br /> Geologist <br />' 4.0. FIELD PROCEDURES <br />' The proposed location of the VES and pump-and-treat units will be near the southwest section of the <br /> . site(Figure 5),which will allow the new property owners (S &S Auto Sales) at the Top Filling site <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
