I21 May 2003 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0130 <br /> Page 10 of 16 <br /> to conduct their day to day business without interference from the operation of the remediation <br /> system Both the VES and the pump-and-treat remediation systems will be secured by a chain-linked, <br /> gated enclosure approximately 20 feet wide, 40 feet long and seven feet high Electricity is readily <br /> available to the site, a dedicated electrical meter will be installed by representatives of PG&E that <br /> will connect directly to both the VES and the pump-and-treat systems <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Registered Geologist Procedures for ground water extraction well and pump installation, SVE <br /> installation, underground piping installation, start-up period, SVE and pump-and-treat operation <br /> procedures are described below <br />' 41 PERMITTING <br /> An application for a site-specific permit will be submitted to the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution <br /> Control District(SJVAPCD)prior to initiation of the remediation project In addition,proper permits <br /> will be obtained from the City of Stockton Public Works Department that meets all waste discharge <br /> • requirements into the sanitary sewer and for all necessary construction work, including natural gas <br />' and electrical source installations <br />' All necessary well/boring permits will be submitted to the SJCEHD prior to any drilling activities <br /> A minimum of 48 hours notice will be given to the SJCEHD prior to performing any field work <br />' 42 DRILLING ACTIVITIES <br />' The following procedures will be performed prior to any digging/drilling activities <br /> • Prepare a Site Health and Safety Plan in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health <br /> Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities - Prepared by National Institute for <br />' Occupational Safety and Health,Occupational Safety and Health Administration,US Coast <br /> Guard and U S Environmental Protection Agency, October 1985 <br />' • Notify the SJCEHD a minimum of 48 hours prior to commencement of any work, while <br /> securing proper San Joaquin County drilling and/or well permits <br />' • All drilling locations will be marked at least 48 hours in advance for an Underground Service <br /> Alert (USA) check of underground utilities or pipes <br /> I <br /> 1 Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> 1 <br />
