PAM-err
Rund SUN-AG Environmental Division
41 < s . P413111
Reference Quote * SA©SO 1-140
Mr. Timothy J. Cuellar
Advanced Geoenvironmental Inc.
4405 N. Wilson Way
Stockton, CA 95205
Regarding: MTBE/GRQ Impacted Ground Water Treatment System
Manteca, CA
I ©ear Mr. Cuellar;
Pursuant to yopr request, we have designed a system to remove
MTBE/ GRO/ DPO impacted ground water with a purnp-and-treat
design, for your Manteca CA site. We have utilized the summary
analytical data and flow rate data that you provided to us in your fax
of 4-19-2001, utilizing the data for well EW-1 only pursuant to your
direction. The design flow rate is f gpm continuous flow.
This system is a multi-media system, which contains a combfnatlon of
a specialty prepared granular activated carbon (GAC), and Sun Solve,
which is a combination of a specialty prepared granular activated
carbon and a hydroscopic synthesized filter media that has a high
affinity for MTBE.
We recommend that the system Include a settling tank for the
recovered groundwater, a suspended solids pre filter to protect the
media beds from slit fuuiing, appropriate pumps and controls for
system control and a flow meter/totalizer. Based on the discharge
point of the treated water, there may be additional system controls
and/or requirements that need to be incorporated into the system.
This system consists of two 1,,000 pound capacity granular activated
carbon units in series, and two 3,500 pound capacity SunSolve units in
series after the GAC, which provides for liberal retention time on the
adsorption media for optimum removal of the dissolved contaminants.
3325 F Mires Avenue,5wie 121 •Ana6ftm•Ca&rni t 92806
`
71 d/6724 i 77- 71 A/572-1713 Fax E-Mail PUREEFFECrOAOLCOM
1
