Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of <br /> hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste stored on site at any time may store waste on site <br /> up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest <br /> and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 608 CCR 66266.130 Failed to properly manage used oil and fuel filters. <br /> The drained used oil filters were last disposed of on 5/22/18. Facilities that generate up to one ton of used oil filters <br /> per year may store the filters up to one year. Facilities that generate one ton or more of used oil filters may store the <br /> filters for up to 180 days. Immediately recycle these filters under a bill of lading and submit a copy of the bill of <br /> lading to the EHD. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 710 HSC 25201.16(h)(4) No written operating procedure for aerosol can processing. <br /> Aerosol cans are punctured and drained and no operating procedures have been developed and implemented. <br /> Aerosol cans may be processed only if a universal waste handler ensures that the processing operations are <br /> performed safely by developing and implementing a written operating procedure detailing the safe processing of <br /> aerosol cans. This procedure shall, at a minimum, include all of the following: <br /> -type of equipment used to process the aerosol cans <br /> -operation and maintenance of the unit <br /> -segregation of incompatible wastes <br /> - proper waste management practices, including ensuring that flammable wastes are stored away from heat and <br /> open flames <br /> -waste characterization <br /> Immediately develop and implement a written operating procedure for the processing of aerosol cans.
