OWS System Decommissioning Report <br /> Chico, California Pilot Flying 1 Travel Center #618, Ripon, California <br /> March 11, 2020 <br /> Page 3 <br /> Diesel Range Organics ( DRO ) and Gasoline Range Organics ( GRO ) by EPA Method 8015M , Volatile <br /> Organic Compounds (VOCs ) by EPA Method 82606, Semi -Volatile Organic Compounds ( SVOCs ) <br /> by EPA Method 8270C, Oil & Grease by 1664A, Polychlorinated Biphenyls ( PCBs ) by EPA Method <br /> 8082, and CA Title 22 Metals ( CAM - 17 ) by EPA Methods 6010B and 7471A . <br /> 4 . 0 OVERBURDEN DISPOSAL <br /> Overburden soil was transported to the Recology Hay Road Landfill in Vacaville , California on <br /> January 21 and January 22 , 2020 . Copies of the non - hazardous waste manifests accompanying <br /> the soil in transit are included in Appendix B . <br /> 5 . 0 UST DISPOSAL <br /> The decontaminated UST was transported on January 2, 2020 for off-Site disposal as waste . The <br /> tank was transported to Azusa Land Reclamation in Azusa , California where it was received on <br /> January 3 , 2020 . A copy of the SJCEHD Underground Storage Tank Disposition Tracking Record is <br /> included in Appendix B . <br /> 6 . 0 BACKFILL & COMPACTION <br /> The former tank excavation was backfilled with the imported clean fill and compacted in lifts . <br /> Backfill compaction testing confirmed a minimum relative compaction of 95 percent from grade <br /> to three ( 3 ) feet bgs and 90 percent from there to the total depth of the excavation . Soil <br /> compaction testing was provided on behalf of JCGI by Kleinfelder of Stockton , California . A copy <br /> of the compaction test results are included in Appendix E . <br /> 7 . 0 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES <br /> Laboratory analytical results of compliance soil samples are summarized in Table 1 and stockpile <br /> soil sample analytical results are summarized in Table 2 . DRO , GRO, ORO, VOC, SVOCs , Oil & <br /> Grease , and PCBs were not found to exceed stated laboratory equipment detection limits in tank <br /> closure assessment samples T1 or T2 . In addition, GRO, ORO, VOC, SVOCs, Oil & Grease , and <br /> PCBs were not reported above laboratory equipment detection limits in stockpile samples SP - 1 <br /> or SP - 2However, select CAM47 metals were reported above laboratory equipment detection <br /> limits in the samples at concentrations typical of background levels for soils in California . DRO <br /> was reported in stockpile soil samples SP- 1 and SP -2 at 12 and 23 mg/kg, respectively ORO was <br /> found in stockpile soil samples SP - 1 and SP -2 at 160 and 180 mg/kg, respectively .
