James Giottonini
Page 2
134 Sutter
A"no further action required letter has been issued for this site.
1701 Washington
Some of the closure plan to close the undergrounc storage tank (UST) piping in place
was missing from the PHSIEHD UST unit file. Thi paper work has been submitted to
Margaret Lagorio at PHSIEHD, who will work with the UST staff to ensure the closure
plan is approved. Once the piping is closed in place PHSIEHD will request concurrence
from the CVRWQCB for no further action required at this site.
1767 Hammer
A"no further action required" letter has been issued for this site.
Royal Oaks at Princess
PHSIEHD received a work plan for investigation of the site since the March 1999 meeting.
1465 Lincoln
There were three 12,000 gallon USTs removed in April 1995 that require further
investigation. A work plan to define the lateral and vertical extent of the soil contamination
and determine if a groundwater investigation is ne essary still needs to be submitted to
PHSIEHD. There was discussion about the pipinc associated with a former 1000 gallon
waste oil UST. PHSIEHD reviewed the UST file a id estimates there is about 40 feet of
piping that still requires closure and sampling of the soil below the piping.
800 Main Steet
During activities at this site, which is not owned b the City of Stockton, a UST was found
beneath the city sidewalk. The site owner and thE City of Stockton both claim the other
person/entity is the UST owner and responsible for removal of the UST. If this matter is
not resolved soon, PHSIEHD will have to refer thE matter to the San Joaquin County
District Attorney's office for enforcement action.
A meeting with the City of Stockton to discuss the status cf their sites at that time is scheduled for
10:00 a.m. on September 13, 1999, at the offices of PHS1 HD. Please submit letters for any of
the above sites that you have not already submitted a letter for documenting there are no other
record fee title owners.
If you have any comments or questions contact Margaret Lagorio at(209)468-3449 or the
PHSIEHD site manager.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising REHS
Site Mitigation Unit
c: CVRWQCB-Mark List
COS Public Works-John Fukomoto
AGE -Bill Little
ATC-Jeanne Homsey
