Giottonini
Page 2
1740 Houston Avenue
A revised work plan and permit application will be submitted next week.
Fire Stations
Work plans dated May 29, 1996 were submitted to P S/EHD on July 17, 1996. PHS/EHD stated that
review of the plans was not completed, but that permit applications should be submitted. PHS/EHD
indicated that some of the sites would not require the scope of investigation which were proposed and
that PHS/EHD would prepare specific comments for each site and include any comments with drilling
permits.
134 Sutter
PHS/EHD stated that one soil boring, sampled approp ately, should provide sufficient information to
evaluate the residual soil contamination which was ob rved by the PHS/EHD inspector on site at the
time of the limited over-excavation. It was discussed at a slant boring or probing could be done
instead of drilling in the Parking District's office. PH /EHD further indicated that if a permit
application and revised work plan was submitted the m ork could be scheduled in conjunction with the
work associated with the COS Fire Stations.
The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 4, 1997 at 1:30 p.m. and will be held at the PHS/EHD
office.
Should you have any questions or disagree with this summary, please contact either Margaret Lagorio at (209)
468-3449 or Mary Meays at (209) 468-0337.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
Mary Meays, Senior REHSargareg.fiREHS
Site Mitigation Unit S apervisor
MMICOS
cc: Elizabeth Thayer, CVRWQCB
cc: Jim Escobar, COS Public Works
cc: Bob Murdoch, COS Public Works
