Washington Blvd, Stockton - Destruction of 211
groundwater monitoring well .
On May 2, 1995, V & W Drilling Co. mobilized a B-61 auger rig &
support truck on the above property for the purpose of destroying
a 2" groundwater monitoring well which had been placed at the
site of a removed UST to determine if groundwater had been
impacted at the site. Laboratory results revealed no contami-
nation in either soil or water samples, and the County EHD
approved destruction of the well .
The surface box was removed, and the 211 PVC casing was drilled
out to bottom at 251 . Drill spoils & casing fragments were
placed in a metal drum & left on site . The hole was filled from
bottom to the surface with 10 sacks of cement .
All operations were witnessed and approved by Margaret Lagorio of
the EHD. Operations were completed at 1030 hours .
Because there was no contamination in either soil or water
samples obtained during the drilling and sampling of the well,
the remaining materials still stored on site can be disposed of
without documentation.
All requirements for site closure have been complied with, and on
behalf of our client, Riverside Cement Co. , we request that the
site be removed from the contaminated list & a closure letter be
issued.
If any additional information is required, please give us a
call .
Since ely,
M. u ter & Associates `` _0 iaG'
cc: ene Kulusza
W0, Vr3Lll1`:11.HUNTER
N0.860
slqOF CAL\FO``r
