• Operating Procedures that governed the monitor and remediation well installation activities —Soil <br />' Borehole Drilling, Well Installation, Soil Sampling, and Field Soil Vapor Monitoring <br />51 Groundwater Monitor Well installation <br />ATC supervised the drilling and installation of five groundwater momtor wells MW -13 through MW -17 Figure 4, <br />Site Plan with Geologic Cross -Section Lines illustrates the locations of each groundwater monitor well Following <br />completion of well borings MW -13 through MW -17, the borings were completed as groundwater monitor wells The <br />construction of MW -13 through MW -17 consisted of 40 feet (surface to 40 feet bgs) of blank 2 -inch <br />diameter, Schedule 40 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) casing, and 25 feet of slotted (0 020 -inch slots) 2 -inch <br />diameter Schedule 40 PVC well screen All well casing and screen was delivered to the site in factory - <br />sealed containers Monitor well construction details are summarized in Table 2 <br />5.2 Dual Completion Vapor Extraction/Air Sparge Well Installation <br />Remediation wells were strategically located in areas of known TPHg impacted -soil and groundwater, and <br />' geometrically fundamental locations for the purpose of conducting vapor extraction, and air sparge <br />feasibility studies The location of each remediation well is illustrated on Figure 4 Well construction <br />IL <br />4r,. illustrated on Figure 5, Remeai,. wq- W(-1 and_VEAS-3) { onsf lic is Di -t-1 and <br />Figure 6, Remediation Well (VEAS-2) Construction Detail, and summarized in Table 2 <br />Following completion of borings VEAS-1, VEAS-2, and VEAS-3 the borings were completed as dual <br />completion vapor extraction/air sparge wells The VEAS-1 through VEAS-3 well borings were drilled to <br />approximately 65 feet bgs The vapor extraction portion of the wells were constructed of a 4 -inch <br />' diameter schedule 40 PVC casing The vapor extraction portion of VEAS-1 and VEAS-3 were screened <br />from 15 to 50 feet bgs, and the vapor extraction portion of VEAS-2 was screened from 10 to 50 feet bgs, <br />' all with 0 020 -inch factory slots The air sparge portion of the wells were constructed of 63 feet of 1-1nch <br />Schedule 80 PVC with stainless steel air sparge points, screened with 0 020 -inch factory slots from 63 to <br />65 feet bgs All well casing and screen were delivered to the site in new, factory -sealed packaging <br />5 3 Groundwater Extraction Well Installation <br />Following completion of well boring EX -1, the boring was completed as groundwater extraction well The <br />construction of EX -1 consists of 40 feet (surface to 40 feet bgs) of blank 6 -inch diameter, stainless steel <br />casing, and 30 feet of slotted (0 010 -inch slots) 6 -inch diameter Schedule 40 PVC well screen All well <br />casing and screen was delivered to the site new, in factory -sealed containers The location of EX -1 is <br />illustrated on Figure 4 Well construction details are illustrated on Figure 7, Groundwater Extraction <br />Well (EX -1) Construction Detail, and summarized in Table 2 <br />S 100966 CAP <br />S 1EZ 5eryervelEZ 1009661Reports1140966CAP <br />6 <br />ATC Associates Inc <br />ATC Project No 43 25827 0026 <br />
