I
' Ground Water Monitoring Report - Second Quarter 2000
MARLOWE PROPERTIES
' 4696 East Waterloo Road (Formerly 4648 East Waterloo Road), Stockton, CA
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this Quarterly Report for 4696 East Waterloo
' Road (Formerly 4648 East Waterloo Road), Stockton, California The site setting is illustrated on
Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2
IThe objectives of the work were to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in
ground water, to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient, and to assess the
' effectiveness of soil vapor extraction (SVE) remediation at the site This report is prepared in
accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality
' Control Board(CVRWQCB)for investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites A summary
of previous investigations at the site was Included in the AGE-prepared Quarterly Report -April
1996, dated 12 June 1996
I
2.0. PROCEDURES
'• On 30 June 2000, a ground water monitoring event was performed on wells MWA, MW-5, MW-6
and VW-1 Ground water monitoring and sampling procedures for the site are outlined in the
Monitoring Well Installation Work Plan -August 1996, dated 23 August 1996,and approved by the
PHS-EHD by letter dated 11 October 1996 On 14 July 2000 one confirmational soil probe boring
was advanced at the site to assess the effectiveness of SVE remediation effort at the site Procedures
I for advancing the soil boring are outlined in the AGE-prepared Confirmation Soil Boring WorkPlan,
dated 30 May 2000 and approved by the PHS-EHD by letter dated 13 June 2000
2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
Depths to ground water were measured to each well from the tops of the well casings to the nearest
0 01 foot utilizing a Sollnst water level meter The ground water elevation in each well was
calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the surveyed casing elevations
(Table 1) Ground water elevations were plotted and contoured on a scaled site map (Figure 3)
After water levels were measured, approximately 8 to 15 gallons of ground water (a minimum of
three casing water-volumes per well) were removed from wells MW-1, MW-5, MW-6 and VW-1
utilizing a Grundfos Redl-Flo submersible pump Ground water pumping was initiated at the top of
the water column and slowly lowered to total depth to purge ground water within the entire well
casing Temperature,pH and conductivity were measured for stabilization at regular purge-volume
• intervals from each well using a Hydac water analyzer Field data and logs are included in Appendix
Advanced GeoEnvi ron mental,.Inc
