1 <br /> 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> 1 <br /> On behalf of the San Joaquin County Facilities Management Department, Ramage Environmental <br /> has prepared this Monitoring Well Installation Report for submittal to the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Health Services Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) and to the Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) <br /> The scope of work was completed according to Ramage Environmental's Work Plan, Monitoring <br /> Well Installations, dated July 16, 2001 On August 3, 2001, PHS/EHD approved the work plan A <br /> copy of the work plan approval is included in Appendix A <br />' 1 1 Site Location and Description <br />' The site is a government vehicle and sheriff bus parking area on the east side of the county <br /> courthouse, located at 222 E Weber Avenue in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The parking area <br />' site is approximately 12 feet below street grade, and is accessed by a ramp on the west side of <br /> San Joaquin Street, approximately 156"south of East Weber Avenue One former 10,000-gallon <br /> gasoline underground storage tank (UST) and a single former gasoline dispenser existed at the <br /> site (Figure 2) <br />' 1.2 Previous Work <br /> 1 2 1 UST System Removal <br /> On August 30, 1996, Fisch Environmental removed the UST system According to the PHS/EHD <br />' inspection notes, the tank appeared to be in good condition, but the underground piping was <br /> pitted, rusted, and disintegrating at the points Gasoline odor was noted in the excavation <br />' Two soil samples were collected from beneath the north end and one soil le was collected sample P <br /> from beneath the south end of the former UST, two soil samples were collected from beneath the <br /> former underground piping (P1 and P2), and a single soil sample was collected from beneath the <br /> former dispenser (P3) The soil sample locations are shown on Figure 2 and the results of these <br /> soil sample analyses are summarized in Table 1 <br /> I <br /> 5 <br />
