A } <br /> draft copy of the HSP is included in Appendix A. <br /> Permits and Site Access <br /> GHH will obtain the required boring permits and workplan approval from the County prior to <br /> drilling the proposed soil borings. All investigation work is proposed to be on site so no rights of <br /> entry or encroachment permits will be required. <br /> Utility Survey <br /> The Underground Services Alert(USA)network will be contacted at least 48 hours before df lling <br /> operations begin to locate underground utilities on the site and adjacent public right-of-ways. The <br /> first 5-feet of each boring will be hand augured as a further precaution to avoid underground <br /> utilities. <br /> I <br /> PROPOSED FIELD ACTIVITIES <br /> Soil Borings and Sampling <br /> Drilling will be performed by hollow-stem auger drilling techniques using a truck-mounted drill-rig <br /> equipped with 8-inch outside diameter hollow-stem auger flights. Prior to drilling, augers and <br /> associated drilling and soil sampling equipment will be cleaned with a high pressure hot water <br /> washer. <br /> 3 <br />
