Cummings and Associates (JPCA) 1s pleased to submit this <br /> environmental investigation report based ori historically reported <br /> data and the results of analysis of four soil and one groundwater <br /> samples taken from a 45 foot boring, at the real property located <br /> at 3300 North West Lane, Stockton, California. <br /> Figure 1 is the site location map. The plot with the single <br /> boring placement is noted in Figure 2 . <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> This szLe had three Underground Storage Tanks (UST) removed in <br /> 1997 . I-Iozl samples collected below the UST reported high <br /> concentrations of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Gasoline <br /> (TPHG) ; Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene and Xylene (BTEX) ; <br /> Oxygenates; Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as Diesel (TPHD) . <br /> One soil sample analysis reported a concentration of 0 . 650 m9/Kg <br /> of MTBE Based on this initial report, a letter from the Central <br /> Valley I:egiori Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) , required the <br /> drilli-nq of a boring to collect soil samples and a groundwater <br /> sample. <br /> JPCA proposed one 45 foot boring, collection and analysis of four <br /> soil antl one groundwater sample to determine the possible extent <br /> of contamination, if any <br /> JPCA pi (-pared the required drilling permit from San Joaquin <br /> County Public Health Service, Environmental Health Division ( SJC- <br /> PHS-EHD ) , a site health and safety plan and contacted U S Alert <br /> to chec4, on placement of underground utilities. A copy of the <br /> drillincq permit is contained in Appendix A. <br /> 1 <br />
