East Wetmore Street(site),Manteca,California.'The scow ofthe work includes installation of ozone injection well points(diffusers),installation.o f an,ozone' .j ection network/system and operation and- monitoring of the:system for up td.six months: The, work'plan was prepared in accordance with gui elines" established-by"the Central Valley Regional Water. Quality Control Board-,(CVRWQ B) for the subsurface investigation 'of underground`storage tank (UST) sites:_- 2.0.' BACKGROUND The site is located in a commercial/industrial area of-So th Manteca,California;'at an approximate elevation of 35 feet above mean sea level. The site is resently occupied by the-City of Manteca Corporation Yard.Currently the site operates above-ground fuel storage tanks(ASTs)that have been `- -_ installed'.over the former UST pit location.There are no 6 her-apparentsource areas for the identified contaminants on the site. The site setting is.illustrated] Tigure-l. The layout of the-property and locations of wells,and soil borings are depicted in Figu a 2. Mass balance calculations indicate that there is approxim itely 1,1-$4,330 gallons ofMTBE-impacted - ground water.and .an.-estimated 0.72 gallons of.MTBE dissolved in the'.ground water.at.the site. Figure 3 shows the average MTBE concentrations"in gro nd water at the site.since sampling began..
