OUR
stations included: coyote, striped skunk(Mephitis mephitis), and beetle. One coyote was visually
observed during an evening site visit. Animals observed during night spotlighting include:jack
rabbit, racoon (Procyon lotor), barn owl (Tyto alba), great horned owl (Bubo virginianus), and a
domestic cat.
The results of the pre-construction kit fox survey indicate that it is safe to proceed with remediation
activities at the Site. Evidence indicating the presence of kit fox at the Site was not discovered at this
time. Although the Site does not currently support kit fox, the habitat present at the Site could attract
kit fox in the future. As required under CEQA, the work to remediate the Site should begin no later
than 30 days following the completion of the sensitive species pre-construction surveys.
Please call the LFR Project Manager, James E.
