It is anticipated that removal of the <br /> approximately top 2 feet of soil (Class I waste)will take approximately 8 weeks, <br /> assuming 60 trucks per day of a five-day work week. It is anticipated approximately 8 <br /> more weeks will be needed to remove the Class II soil, although verification sampling <br /> results will determine the scope and schedule of this effort. <br /> 7.2.4 Conservation Measures <br /> This section is a summary of the conservation(control)measures that will be <br /> incorporated into the RAP. The implementation of the following conservation measures <br /> will serve to maintain minimal impact to the Site during and after remediation <br /> activities. <br /> Formatted:Bullets and Numbering <br /> Air Quality <br /> Conservation measures will be implemented to comply with the San Joaquin Valley <br /> Unified Air Pollution Control District(SJVUAPCD)Regulation VIII Control Measures <br /> for construction emissions of PM-10 contained in Table 8021-2 of the 2001 <br /> SJVUAPCD Rule 8021 "Construction, Demolition, Excavation, Extraction, and other <br /> Earth Moving Activities" guidance(adopted November 15, 2001), as applicable. It was <br /> agreed with the SJVAPCD that a formal Dust Control Plan would not be required(see <br /> Response to Comment 5 in Appendix H). <br /> The following control measures shall be observed during project activities: <br /> • All disturbed areas, including storage piles, that are not being actively utilized for <br /> construction purposes, shall have dust emissions effectively stabilized using water, <br /> chemical stabilizer/suppressant, or vegetative ground cover. <br /> • All on-site unpaved roads and off-site unpaved access roads shall have dust <br /> emissions effectively stabilized using water or chemical stabilizer/suppressant. <br /> Page 24 Final_RAP_Tracy_9.18.03(final).doc <br />
