sb <br /> 10.0 Training Program <br /> 10.1 Objectives <br /> The objectives of the site specific training program, for personnel engaged in the Tire Fire <br /> Remediation operations at the TTFS are: <br /> To ensure that workers are aware of the potential hazards they may encounter; <br /> To provide the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the work with minimal risk to <br /> worker health and safety; <br /> To ensure that workers can safely disengage themselves from actual hazardous <br /> situations which may occur; <br /> ^+- To comply with applicable laws and regulations. <br /> All persons who work in or require access to the exclusion zones detailed in Section 5.0 of this <br /> HSP must have previously attended a pre-work site-specific training prior to beginning field <br /> work at the site. <br /> 10.2 General <br /> 11 Training is intended to reduce the incidence of occupational injury. Therefore, <br /> employees are responsible for the proper on-the-job application of knowledge obtained <br /> through the training. Each employer is responsible for providing individuals who are <br /> proficient with information contained in their company's Illness and Injury Prevention <br /> Program ]IIPP]. <br /> 21 Employees must have received appropriate site-specific training that complies with this <br /> Health and Safety Plan. <br /> 31 Sukut Construction will initiate daily safety tailgate meetings prior to work start. These <br /> briefings will provide updated information regarding work assignments, air monitoring <br /> results, the use of water for dust control, as well as other pertinent health and safety <br /> issues. <br /> 10.3 Initial Training <br /> 10.3.1 Supervisors <br /> Normal operations at the TTFS will require the following training: <br /> An initial Site Orientation training at the site is scheduled for the first day of the <br /> project and prior to disturbing contaminated soil.
