LFR Levine-Fricke
normal (20-day) turn-around schedule. Collected groundwater samples were analyzed
for the following:
• volatile organic compounds (VOCs) by EPA Method 8260B
• semivolatile organic compounds (SVOCs) by EPA Method 8270C
• dissolved metals by EPA Method 6020
• dissolved mercury by EPA Method 7470A
• general minerals by several EPA Methods (listed in Table 3)
Table 2 provides a summary of the laboratory analytical results. A complete list of
required analytes for the third quarter 2003 is included in Table 3.
4.0 RESULTS OF QUARTERLY GROUNDWATER MONITORING
The following sections describe the groundwater gradient and flow direction and
groundwater analytical results.
4.1 Groundwater Elevations and Gradient
Depth-to-groundwater measurements were collected on August 4, 2003, and are
summarized on Table 1 and shown on Figure 3. The measured depth to groundwater
during the August 4, 2003 sampling event ranged from 62.51 feet below top of casing
(toc) (MW-2) to 107.89 feet below toc (MW-5). Groundwater elevations in the site
wells ranged from 61.76 feet ms] in monitoring well MW-1 to 63.31 feet msl in
monitoring well MW-3. Based on the August 4, 2003 groundwater elevations, the Site
displays a generally flat water table with a calculated horizontal hydraulic gradient of
0.001 foot per foot (ft/ft) toward the northwest (Figure 3). These results are consistent
with previous results for the site.
4.2 Groundwater Analytical Results
Groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5 were
analyzed for parameters required by the RWQCB. Table 2 provides a summary of the
analytical results and the laboratory analytical reports are presented in Appendix B.
VOCs
VOCs were not detected above the laboratory reporting limit in samples collected from
wells MW-1 through MW-5 during the third quarter 2003 sampling event.
Page 4 TTF QMR Q3-03(M21-03):JEE
